FACTS 🧐

Research shows that when you physically activate, which could be a simple walk out for example, your body releases chemical called ENDORPHIN.

These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine.

WHAT exactly are ENDORPHINS?

These are often classified to be the HAPPY hormones 😃. Any form of physical activity leads to the release of these ‘feel good neurotransmitters’.

The increase in endorphins in your body leads to a feeling of euphoria, modulation of appetite, the release of different sex hormones and an enhancement of immune response.

HOW A PHYSIOLOGICAL PROCESS CAN INFLUENCE AND PREVENT THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF STRESS?

As we already learnt, by moving you realise chemicals which are influencing your state of mind. Even when you feel not able to truly exercise, a simple walk out can change your day. Not only does it keep the heart healthy and get oxygen into the system, but it helps deplete stress hormones and releases mood-enhancing chemicals which help us cope with stress better 🙌🏻
